And just another Ford GPW for Navarra, too! This last Monday 21th of April, I meet another fellow jeeper, mr. José A. Fabo, who has also bought a Ford GPW jeep...Man, this is a fashion!!! As he works as bodywork teacher at a local institute, he´s going to start the restoration work with the help of his pupils...That´s real luck! For him and for the jeep, too!

Some details:

As you could see, the dinamo cames from FIAT. The jeep was an ex-Italian surplus army. So, José has thought about restoring her with 5th US Army markings, probably.

More shots...As this cool one, of José posing with the crew:

He has a hard work to do but nothing impossible for this enthusiast team!
Specially if you read publications as "4x4 Story"... :-)

That´s me posing with José and "la ragazza". We wish them Good Luck!

These shots were taken last year, during a small trip organized to visit some areas and small villages of our small country, Nafarroa or Navarra.

I always think that jeeps are related to history, culture, etc. and the respect with our heritage, and those pics show something like that. Several of the villages we crossed were Zubiri, Urtasun, Iragi, Eugi, Olague, Egozkue and Lantz.

I hope you´ll enjoy them! This shot shows the water reservoir of Eugi at the background, and the convoy on route to Iragi:

I love this shot! Probably because the color that Gari Goñi applied at his CJ3B Viasa! Really bright! And so his girlfriend thinks the same! We were entering Egozkue:

Entering Olague:

In the road to Lantz, a very famous village due to its carnaval. The Nissan Navara belongs to Natxo "Txokat" Alberdi, the master of "The Jeeper Warehouse" and as he isn´t still finished the restoration work on his beloved Willys MB, he must assist the meetings with this one!

Entering Lantz, at the wheel of mr. R. Bendoiro´s Wrangler YJ.Some of the assistants at the "plaza del pueblo" or "herriko enparantza".A spectacular Command Car Dodge WC58 (radio version) posing with the "frontón" at the background. This wall is employed at Basque sport of "pilota" or "pelota vasca".
This is sand colored Spanish made CJ3B belonged to mr. "Jipa", and she´s currently wearing a French Indenor diesel engine. Nice color, sure!

Hi!

Today I show you more pics of another Spanish made CJ6, this time another barn find, totally full of dirt! What a pity! This jeep was used as a spare parts donnor. In fact, the previous owner have take off the diesel Perkins engine.
